Privacy Policy
Notice Keeper for Amazon (the "extension") saves the price-change notice shown on the Amazon cart page and displays it again when Amazon no longer shows it. This policy explains what data the extension handles.
Summary
The extension does not collect, transmit, sell or share any personal data. Everything stays in your browser.
What the extension stores
The only data handled is the text of the "Important messages about items in your cart" notice that Amazon displays on your cart page (for example product names and prices), plus the date it was saved. It is stored locally in your browser using chrome.storage.local, separately for each Amazon store you use.
What the extension does not do
- It does not send any data to the developer or to any third party.
- It makes no network requests, uses no servers and has no user accounts.
- It uses no analytics, advertising, tracking or cookies.
- It does not read your login details, payment information, orders or browsing history.
- It does not use remote code; all code is packaged in the extension.
Where it runs
The extension runs only on the cart page of the supported Amazon stores. On any other page it does nothing. The "offscreen" permission is used only to detect whether your browser theme is light or dark, so the toolbar icon can match it.
Data retention and deletion
Only the most recent notice is kept; a newer notice replaces the previous one. You can remove all stored data at any time by uninstalling the extension.
Children
The extension is not directed at children and collects no personal data from anyone.
Affiliation
Notice Keeper for Amazon is an independent extension. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Amazon.com, Inc. Amazon is a trademark of Amazon.com, Inc. or its affiliates.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the new version will be published at this address with an updated date.
